Summer Season
Group Bookings Welcome and Accepted
The Snowy Mountains is such a diverse destination from snow capped mountains to fields of wildflowers, native bush lands and crystal waters. It can snow up here at anytime of the year but whether the mountains are white or green, or a bit in between, it's absolutely spectacular up here year round! There is so much more to do up here than just ski or board at a resort! Not to mention that no resort means no crowds. Unlike most summer locations, Perisher Valley becomes a sleepy village. It's peaceful, relaxing and remote. But it's also super central to the main trails and sights. SO TAKE YOUR PICK FROM THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
hiking, snowshoeing, e-biking, mountain biking, road cycling, road running, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, abseiling, climbing, sailing, fliteboarding, fly fishing, scenic helicopter flights, swimming, 4WDing, horse riding, birdwatching, photography, painting, day tours..... There are many guided and non-guided activities available.
October/November/December
A great time to visit Perisher with the winter crowds disappearing and the landscape transforming. The snow is melting, the green is coming through and wildflowers are popping up. But there is usually still some snow activity with snow about on the main range right through mid December! Hiking or snowshoeing with a guide is a really fun way to get out and explore over these months. Ski season technically closes on October Long Weekend and fishing season opens in Kosciuszko National Park for the summer season.
January
The peak of summer season brings a few more people to Perisher Valley for the School holidays break, but with the wildflowers in bloom, it's a fabulous time to get out hiking, e-biking, cycling, fishing and more in Kosciuszko.
February/March/April/May
Generally a quieter time to visit and enjoy the Snowy Mountains experience as the landscape begins to slowly evolve from wildflowers to winter. These months are fantastic for hiking, cycling, e-biking. fishing and more! A good dump or two of snow is always expected in Perisher Valley, somewhere in April / May. Fishing season in Kosciuszko National Park closes on June Long Weekend when ski season officially begins.
